Editing Material Vectors

You can edit the set of materials included in a material vector and the order in which they appear.

  1. To edit a material vector, right-click the material vector and select Edit Material vector.
  2. To add a material to a vector:
    1. In the Edit Material Vector panel, click Add Materials Mode .
      The pointer turns into a picker.
    2. Select the material you want to add either on the product, in the tree or in the Material Browser.
      The material is added to the material vector and appears in the Available Materials list.
    3. To exit the command, click Add Materials Mode .

      Important: Core material vectors can only contain core materials and covering material vectors can only contain covering materials.

  3. To set a material as the active material of the vector, double-click the material.
    The name of the active material appears in bold letters and is underlined.
  4. To change the order of materials in the vector, drag a material from the available materials and drop it above or below another material.
    The material moves up or down in the list accordingly.
  5. To display the full name and the domain of a material, hover over the material.
    A tooltip appears displaying information on the material.
  6. To remove a material from the vector, drag a material and drop it on the button.

    If you remove the active material, another material is set as the active material.

    Tip: Alternatively, you can right-click the material and select Mark Item for Removal.

    The material is highlighted in pink and is removed from the vector once you drop another material on the button.

    To cancel the selection, right-click the material and select Unmark Item.

    The material is removed from the list.
