Scope Applications

You can view the scope applications for a compliance definition. The name shows as In Scope Applications or Out of Scope Applications depending on the type of scope defined for the compliance definition.

This category only shows for compliance definitions that have the Application Type attribute defined in MCC_Elements.xsd set to Part.

As delivered, only RoHS and Packaging compliance types contain compliance applications with the Application Type attribute set to "Part" (that is, component level scope). For other application types to display in the "Add Existing" search, the compliance definition must have its scope set to "Component Level - In Scope applications". Your Business Administrator can make applications available for scoping.

Note: If you edit the compliance definition to change from one in scope to out of scope (or the reverse), the name of this category is not updated until you close the compliance definition and reopen it. Also, if you change the compliance definition scope to All, the category still displays until you close the compliance definition and open it again. Compliance definitions set to the "all" scope do not show this category.
