Compliance Definitions List

You can list compliance definitions. Compliance definitions specify the requirements that parts must meet to be compliant with a given industry or internal standard.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Owner
  • App-specific: Compliance Administrator, Compliance Engineer

To access this page:

  1. List the app categories for Materials Compliance Management.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Compliance Definitions.

Columns

Column Name Description
Name The name of the compliance definition. To view the compliance definition contents, click its Name.
Compliance Type The compliance type used by this definition, such as RoHS.
Policy The policy governing the compliance definition.
State The current lifecycle state of the compliance definition.
Product/Process Scope Indicates if the Compliance Definition is for a process (not a part) using Class E of IPC 1754 standard. Shows either "Product Only" or "Process Only."

Only available if IPC 1754 support or process support is enabled.

RollUp Indicates whether the compliance definition is rolled-up. Values are "Yes" or "No."
Description A description of the compliance definition.
Application Scope Type Defines the set of parts that apply to the compliance definition.

Scope Value Description
All The compliance definition is scoped for all the parts connected to the context part
Component Level - In Scope Compliance calculations include parts with the specified scope application
Product Level - In Scope Compliance calculations include products with the specified scope application
Component level - Out of Scope Compliance calculations exclude parts that have the specified scope application.
Product level - Out of Scope Compliance calculations exclude products that have the specified scope application.

Scope Applications A comma-separated list of the applications selected for the compliance definition.
Open the compliance definition in a new window.

Action Description
Delete Deletes the selected compliance definitions; click OK to confirm.
