Performing a Global Rollup

You can roll up all out-of-date objects and bring every substance, material, and part up to date.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Leader, Owner
  • App-specific: Senior Compliance Engineer

  1. From the top bar, click Add > Materials Compliance > Roll Up Parts/Materials.

    The page lists the following entries and how many of each that need to be rolled up:

    • Parts
    • Materials
    • Substances
    • Compliance Definition

  2. Select options for these fields:

    Field NameDescription
    Enable Parallel Roll Up to enhance performance Select Yes to process each root node in the separate thread. Otherwise select No. If the more than one thread is available, the number of root nodes are processed simultaneously.
    Note: The user assigned with the Administrator role can configure whether to enable or disable the Enable Parallel Roll Up option. For more information, see Configuring Parallel Rollup.
    Time Limit (hours) Select the number of hours to allow for the rollup operation. If the rollup does not complete in this time frame, it will be closed. Subsequent rollup operations will pick up where the previous one left off.
    Mark all parts, materials, substances, and compliance definitions out of dateIf No, the system performs a global rollup only of dirty assemblies, compliance definitions, and materials listed above in this form. If Yes, a global rollup is performed on all parts, materials, and substances in the system
    Include reported parts of Accepted, Superceded, Rejected, or Canceled material declarationsIf Yes, includes reported parts for material declarations in the listed states.

  3. Click Done.
