Performing a Selective Rollup

You can select certain materials or parts brought up to date without performing a global rollup.

Selected parts or materials can be brought up to date with the "Roll Up Compliance Data" action on the following pages:

  • Material and Parts list pages
  • Material and Parts Properties pages

The Roll Up Compliance Data action is enabled when the selected items are out-of-date and need to be rolled up. If the user attempts to access a function such as an export or report that requires data to be up to date, the following message displays: "This action cannot be accessed because at least one of the selected items is out of date. Use the Roll Up Compliance Data action to bring them up to date."

For single item views, the message reads: "This action cannot be accessed because the selected item is out of date. Use the Roll Up Compliance Data action to bring it up to date."

When the Enable Parallel Roll Up option is enabled, each root node is processed in the separate thread. If the more than one thread is available, the number of root nodes are processed simultaneously.
