Creating Plant-Specific Parts

You can create a plant-specific part.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author
  • App-specific: Compliance Engineer

Before you begin:

View the list of plant-specific parts. For more information, see Plant-Specific Parts.

  1. Select Actions > Create New .

    You cannot change attributes inherited from the parent enterprise part.

  2. Enter values for the following fields:
    Field NameDescription
    Type The type or subtype of the part (the default is Compliance Plant Specific Part).
    PlantClick to select a host company location for the plant-specific part.
    WeightThe reference weight of the plant-specific part.
    Unit of MeasureThe unit of measure of the plant-specific part.
    PolicyThe policy of the plant-specific part.
    Design ResponsibilityThe organization having the design responsibility for the plant-specific part.
  3. Click Done.
