An IPC 1752A export can be a Request/Reply to a particular customer or can be a general distribution to any number of customers. This is controlled by the selection of the customer program field on the export dialog box.

    • If a customer program is selected, the form type of the IPC 1752A file is set to Request/Reply and the customer information including the customer name and customer part name and description will be exported to requestor-specific elements and attributes of the file.
    • If no customer program is selected, the form type of the IPC 1752A file is set to Distribute and no customer information will be written to the IPC 1752A file.

When the export job is submitted, a background job creates an IPC 1752A XML file for each exported part. If more than one part is exported, a zip file is created containing the files. For IPC 1752A, this XML file can be imported into any program that supports the IPC 1752A schema.
