Defining Acoustic Absorbers

You can apply an acoustic absorber to specify the acoustic properties for a surface in your model.

Support Selection
  1. From the Abstractions section of the action bar, click Acoustic Absorber .
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. Select a Group on the hex-dominant mesh as the support.

    An acoustic absorber must be applied to the mesh in the acoustic domain and to the mesh in the surrounding structural domain.

  4. Select a material Behavior that will be used in the simulation.
    Note: The simulation domain for the material definition must include data in the Acoustic Absorption option.
  5. Click OK.
