Recreating Connections After Model Changes

You can reuse saved specifications to update the connections in a model after the product is modified.

Before you begin: You must have saved the specifications when you originally created the connections.

About Automated Specifications for Connections
  1. From the tree, under the Automated Specifications node of the current finite element model, locate the automated specification object.
  2. From the context menu, select Definition.

    Tip: Double-click the specification object to open the editor.

    A dialog box opens with the original options.
  3. Optional: Modify the parameters in the dialog box.
  4. Find or create new fasteners using the specifications.

    Tip: From the tree, select the automated specification object and use the context menu option Relaunch to repeat the connection creation procedure without opening the dialog box.
