Displaying the Mechanical Interface Attributes

After instantiating a template in the context, a publication is created. You can display the attributes and parameters associated with each published instance.


Before you begin:
  • To perform this task you must be a Leader or you must have a customized role with the proper rights. For more information, see Roles: Who can do what.
  • Instantiate a template in a 3D shape representation. To know about instantiation of a template, see

Displaying the Mechanical Interface Attributes
  1. From the Interface section of the action bar, click Mechanical Interface Attributes Display .
  2. In the tree, select an axis system node under the Publications node.
    The Mechanical Interface Parameters panel lists several parameters under the following sections:
    • Parameters for Type Compatibility
    • Parameters for Detailed Compatibility

    You can view these parameters and use them to write business rules for validity rules, type compatibility rules, and detailed compatibility rules.

  3. In the list, right-click a parameter, its value, or its variable type, and select Copy.

    You can paste these values in the business rule editor.
