Identifying Isolated Nodes

You can display and remove isolated nodes. Isolated nodes are nodes that are not used to form elements. Isolated nodes might be artifacts from creation of an orphan mesh.

  1. From the Check section of the action bar, click Isolated Nodes .
    The Isolated Nodes Checker dialog box appears.
  2. To review the isolated nodes, select Autofocus and use the browse buttons.

    Tip: You can use the clipping box tool to better visualize the nodes while you browse them. To learn more, see Using the Clipping Box.

  3. Select individual nodes for removal.

    To remove all isolated nodes from the mesh, click Remove All.

    The isolated nodes are deleted.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Click OK to save your changes and to end the procedure.
    • Click Cancel to keep the isolated nodes and to end the procedure.
