You can check that the node and element number sets you assigned are well defined, with sufficiently large ranges for the components of your mesh and no overlaps between groups.

Assigning Numbers to Nodes and Elements
  1. From the Setup section of the action bar, click Numbering Manager
The Numbering Manager dialog box appears.
  2. If you are working with FEM representations in an assembly, click the Assembly tab to check bounding values and offsets for nodes and elements in the meshes of the individual components, or click the FEM tab to check bounding values for the top-level assembly FEM representation.
  3. Highlight the rows for the components that you want to check.
  4. Click Check to review the numbering assignments for errors.
If any numbering errors exist, the manager indicates their location by outlining the relevant rows in red, and a window appears that describes the numbering errors.
  5. Click Initialize to assign a lower bound of 1 to initialize the numbering for nodes and elements in the selected rows.
  6. Customize the upper or lower bound to resolve the overlap or to provide a sufficient range for all the nodes and elements in the selection, then recheck to confirm your fix.
