In a spread layout all of the active contour plots or symbol plots are displayed along a line or plane.

Before you begin: Multiple contour or symbol plots must be active.

  1. Click in the Plots dialog box.
  2. Click in the Plots dialog box.
The Plots Layout dialog box opens.
  3. Click Spread.
  4. From the Along options, specify the line or plane along which you want to spread the display of active plots. You can spread plots along the X, Y, or Z axes or along the XY, YZ, or XZ planes.
All active plots are displayed along the axis or plane you specify.
  5. From the Distance options, specify the interval between plots in the direction specified. If you click , a distance is calculated and the plots are arranged automatically.
The spacing between plots changes according to the distance specified.
  6. If your simulation results include multiple sequences, select Apply only on current sequence to include plots from the current sequence only. Clear the check box to create a layout with plots from every sequence in the simulation results.

Note: Even if your plot layout is restricted to plots from the current sequence, you can still override this behavior and add individual plots from other sequences to your layout. To include these plots in your layout, right-click the corresponding result sequence in the tree and select Show.

  7. From the Refresh all active plots options, specify one of the following:
    • Select At the end of command to perform the plot change immediately but only on the selected plot. Upon confirmation the change will be applied to all other plots in the plot layout once the command modifying these plots (for example, View Cuts) completes.
    • Select Immediately to perform the selected plot change immediately on all plots in the plot layout. This option might cause a decrease in performance.
  8. Click Close to exit the editor.
