Saving Model Plots as Templates

You can save model plot data as a template for creating additional plots. You can create templates for contour, isocontour, symbol, and color code plots.

  1. From the Plots tab of the Feature Manager, right-click the plot and select Save as new template.

    Tip: You can also save a new template from the plot in the tree or from the context menu when you select the model in the 3D area.

    The Save as new template dialog box appears.
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. From the Include more attributes section, specify how the template is created.
    OptionDescription
    Legend min/max Includes data on your model where the highest and lowest values occur for the selected result.
    Scale factor Includes the scale factor of the deformation.
    Threshold parameters Includes the threshold type and value.
  4. Click Template Preferences to change the template directory or manage the existing templates. For more information, see Plots and Legend.

The custom template is saved to the specified directory. You can use the template when creating a new model plot.
