- Select Utility in the secondary area of the Tools section of the action bar to launch the Batch Monitor.
-
Double-click Import Simulation Results.
The Import Simulation Results monitor appears.
- If you want to update an existing simulation object, do the following:
- Click , then select the simulation object you want to update from the editor that appears.
If multiple simulation objects match your search criteria, all matching simulation objects will be displayed as rows in the top portion of the editor. Because only one simulation object can be updated at a time, you must delete the extra rows from the Import Simulation Results editor by highlighting them and clicking .
- Select Update analysis case to update an existing analysis case in the selected simulation object, and specify the name of the result analysis case. If deselected, the data you select will be appended to the simulation object as a new analysis case.
For analysis case updates, the name you specify should match the name of the result analysis case as it appears in the tree.
- For imported Nastran Results (.op2), select Merge if you want to import the .op2 files concatenated with the current content of the selected analysis case.
Note:
The Merge option is only available when Update analysis case is selected. If Merge is not selected, the .op2 document overwrites the content of the current analysis case upon import.
-
Specify the SIM database that you want to import from the Results File settings. The import process supports individual SIM databases (.sim and .SMASim), multi-file SIM documents (.SMAManifest), Abaqus output databases (.odb) Abaqus input files (.inp), Nastran Results Documents (.op2), and Nastran model documents (.bdf, .dat, and .nas). See About the Import Process for further stipulations on these formats.
- Change the results units associated with the imported results, from the Import Units settings. You
can specify units for mass, time, length, and temperature. (The default unit system is MKS.) When the
simulation results are imported, the
app converts the displayed values according to the display units specified
for your session.
Note:
Specifying Import Units in conjunction with the global unit system settings in ensures that imported results are displayed with the appropriate scaling.
- Optional:
Customize the file name, location, or file extension of the report for this batch job. For more information about batch job reporting, see Defining Common Batch Parameters.
-
Do one of the following:
-
Click Run to create or update the simulation object immediately.
-
Click Save to save this batch job as an XML parameter file, which you can run from the Batch Monitor. For more information about this process, see "Batches and Plug-in Methods" in the 3DEXPERIENCE
Native Apps guide.
The simulation object is created or updated, either immediately or upon the next run of the jobs in the Batch Monitor.
