Viewing Import Diagnostics

When you import a SIM, ODB, INP, BDF, DAT, NAS, or OP2 document, you can view diagnostic information including SIM file ancestry and model statistics.

Import Support for Abaqus Features
  1. From the Setup section of the action bar, click Import Diagnostics.
    The Import Diagnostics dialog box appears and indicates whether the simulation has imported successfully.
  2. Expand SIM File Ancestry to view information on the Abaqus solvers release used to create the SIM file.
  3. Expand Model Statistics to view the following information:
    • Model Title
    • Number of Nodes
    • Number of Elements
    • Number of DOF (Degrees of Freedom)
    • Element Types
    • Number of Sections
  4. Expand one or more of the following, if present:
    OptionDescription
    <object name> (Not qualified) Displays information on objects supported with limited functionality.
    <object name> (Removed) Displays information on objects not accessible or displayed in Physics Results.
    <object name> (Blocked) Displays information on objects not supported in Physics Results. If there are blocking features, the model does not open and visualization is disabled.

    For example, expand Contact fields (Not qualified). When an object is not qualified, informational messages display followed by a list of the individual features not qualified, such as: Contact fields are displayed with limited functionality.

    CSHEAR1, CSHEAR2, CPRESS, etc.

  5. Dismiss the dialog box.
