Post-Installation Tasks

You must complete the following post-installation tasks to work in the 3DEXPERIENCE customized environment after completing the installation.


Before you begin: Before performing the post-installation tasks, do the following
  • Restart your computer
  • Ensure that you can see the 3DEXPERIENCE icon on your desktop
  1. Open a Microsoft Office application.

    Note: You must enable the automatic update of certificate on your system. Follow this procedure to do so:
    • Navigate to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
    • Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
    • Check Update Root Certificates.
    • Click Next.

    A Microsoft Office Customization Installer message appears asking you whether you want to install the Collaboration for Microsoft customization.
  2. Click Install.
    The 3DEXPERIENCE tab is available in the ribbon.

The Collaboration for Microsoft client supports the following languages: English(en), French(fr), German(de), Spanish(es), Italian(it), Russian(ru), Chinese(zh-cn) and Japanese(ja). The language of the app can be set in the Collaboration for Microsoft Client configurations window.
