Using Autoclau Utilities

You can use Autoclau Utilities option to insert cover sheet and synchronize attributes for Autoclau objects.

Required access roles: Author, Leader, Owner

Login to the app. You can log in using the assignedrole and do not need a separate Autoclaurole to access the Autoclau Utilities menu.

In the desktop notification area, right click Collaboration for Microsoft icon and select Utilities.

The Utilities dialog box has two tabs:

  • Insert Cover sheet - To insert new cover sheets in business objects that are processed to insert table data.
  • Sync Attributes - To synchronize attributes of objects from 3DEXPERIENCE to both basic and custom document properties and vice versa.
Important: To search for objects, you need to run Autoclau in non-service mode. For more details about Autoclau settings, see Configuring Autoclau.

This task shows you how to:

Insert cover sheets

  1. To insert cover sheet, in the Insert cover sheet tab, click Business Objects.
The Search Business Objects page appears
  2. Enter the search criteria as needed; you can use wildcards.

Note: You also have an option to search for objects based on ClauSetcover sheet. In the service mode, objects from the ClauSetcover sheet set are processed.

  3. Select Include already claued objects, to include them in the search process.

Important: If you edit the properties of an object from the search results and run the Autoclau process, the process fails. To update the modified values, you have to search the object again and then run the Autoclau process.

  4. Click Search.
The search results display the objects. Select the required objects or you can select all.
  5. Click Select or Select All.
    The Utilities dialog box appears
  6. Click Start to process the objects.

The cover sheets in documents is processed to have table data in the documents.

Note: For the Insert cover sheet scenario, the Autoclau utility requires the MxMsGetcover sheetTableHeader output to exactly match with the table header in the document.

Synchronize Attributes

  1. To synchronize attributes, select the Sync Attributes tab.
  2. Click Business Objects to search the required business objects for synchronizing.

Note: The search functionality also provides an option to select the objects that have been added to the ClauSetProperties set.

  3. Select the following:
    • From 3DEXPERIENCE object to document - To synchronize the 3DEXPERIENCE object attributes with the document.
    • From document to 3DEXPERIENCE - To synchronize document attributes to 3DEXPERIENCE object.
  4. Click Start to complete the attribute synchronization process.

After the process is over, a log of the process is generated. You can view the number of successful objects, errors, and objects processed elsewhere.

Note: You cannot synchronize attribute with document property if office document has no content.

For the first time, you can synchronize the attributes with document property but further when you make changes in 3DEXPERIENCE attributes with document property, the operation fails.
