Overview
This section summarizes the functions of the Mold Base creation commands.
A Mold Base is an assembly of all the parts of an Injection Tool that do not depend on the shape of the plastic model.
Create the Mold Base in a void Mold Base or a Project Unit product.
- If the product is void, you can choose to create the new Mold Base either from suppliers components or using the configurator.
- If the product is a
Project Unit,
you can choose to create a
Mold Base
either from suppliers components or using the configurator or insert an
existing
Mold Base
(from the
3DEXPERIENCE platform).
In this case, after you have created the Mold Base, the Insert Unit or Multiple Layout Insert is positioned into the Mold Base between the Core Plate and Cavity Plate.
- If the Project Unit contains both Insert Units and a Multiple Layout Insert, the Multiple Layout Insert is inserted into the Mold Base.
- If the Project Unit contains only an Insert Unit (no Multiple Layout Insert), the Insert Unit is inserted into the Mold Base.
- The Project Unit must be in Declarative mode.
Kinematics of the Mold Base is automatically created.
Starting in V6R2013, the names of the products created by Mold Base include the type name. Those names are not editable.
