From the Standard section of the action bar,
click Model Prep.
The Target Shape dialog box appears.

Select one of the following options, and then select the shape to use or the reference
shape if you are creating an abstraction shape.
- Select a Shape: Select an editable (nonfrozen) 3D shape or
an abstraction shape.
- Create Abstraction Shape: Select a
Reference, and choose a part, product, or 3D shape.
If you create an abstraction shape with a 3D shape as the reference shape, the
abstraction shape copies the geometry; therefore, you can edit the geometry without
changing the original geometry. If you create an abstraction shape with a product as the
reference, the abstraction shape created is an empty container. You must then copy one or
more 3D shapes into it. For more information, see Model Assembly Design: Abstraction Shapes.

Simulation Model Preparation opens.
