Using OrCAD CIS View for Synchronization
You can select classes and view the differences between local data and data stored in 3DEXPERIENCE using the OrCAD tab. You can choose how you want to synchronize each component.
-
In the task list panel, select Execute Synchronization and
click
.
-
In the OrCAD tab, select a class from the ECAD Library that
you want to Synchronize.
The list of classes that shows is loaded from the default preselection group.
The Connector for Cadence OrCAD Database Library extracts all components based on the specified mapping files. Select a check box, and it displays the extracted components in a tab.
Use the Status column to determine if you need to synchronize a component. You could see any of these statuses:
Status Description No difference between the component in the ECAD library and in 3DEXPERIENCE Component does not exist in 3DEXPERIENCE Difference detected between the versions of the component in the ECAD library and in 3DEXPERIENCE -
To synchronize a component, right-click it and choose one of these options:
Note: Instead of synchronizing individual or groups of components, you can select classes to synchronize as described in Step 4. If you want to do that, skip this step.
Option Description Update Selection from 3DEPXERIENCE Update the local components with data from 3DEXPERIENCE Synchronize Selection to 3DEXPERIENCE Upload the local data to update the components in 3DEXPERIENCE You can also select components and click one of these icons to execute on all selected components:

To synchronize all components in the selected classes instead of individual
components (step 3), click one of these buttons:
Command Button Description ECAD to 3DEXPERIENCE Using the mapping file selected when setting up synchronization, extract all components in the selected libraries and synchronizes them to 3DEXPERIENCE according to the rules in the mapping file. 3DEXPERIENCE to ECAD Using the mapping file selected when setting up synchronization, extract all components in 3DEXPERIENCE and synchronizes them to the local libraries according to the rules in the mapping file. Click OK to clear the Info dialog box. You can click
