Displaying and Editing Representation Properties

You can access the various representation properties and edit them.


Before you begin:

To perform this task, create a 3D shape.

  1. In the tree, right-click a representation and select Properties.

    The Properties dialog box appears, containing following tabs dealing with the 3D representation:

    • Mechanical
    • Graphic
    • Reference
    • Colors
    • Visualization

    The Mechanical tab displays information related to the building of the representation.

  2. Click the Graphic tab.
    1. Set the Graphic Properties: Color, Linetype, Thickness, and Transparency.
    2. Set the Global Properties: Layers, and Rendering Style.
  3. Click the Reference tab.
  4. Fill in the fields with your own information.
  5. Click the Colors tab.
  6. Select a color theme from the Standard list.
    • 3DEXPERIENCE Black Theme: Select this theme if you want to use V6 colors for Wire and Point, Surface, Volume, and Solid features on a new 3D Shape. The default color for wires and points will be set to black.
    • 3DEXPERIENCE White Theme: Select this theme if you want to use V6 colors for Wire and Point, Surface, Volume, and Solid features on a new 3D Shape. The default color for wires and points will be set to white.
    • V5: Select this theme if you want to use V5 colors for wire and point, surface, volume and solid features on new 3D Shape.
    • Settings: Select this theme if you want to retrieve default properties defined in the Preferences dialog box.
    • Custom: This theme is automatically selected when you change a color or an opacity below

    By default, 3DEXPERIENCE Black Theme is selected.

  7. Optional: Change the Colors or Opacity for Wire, Surface, Volume or Solid options, wherever applicable.
  8. In the Color Inherent Management, select Inherit color from all inputs.
  9. Select the check boxes available under Color on import managementto manage automatic export of colors.
