  1. Install the ISOGEN utility software I-Run.exe to a directory of your choice.
  2. Create the ISOGEN directory structure (this directory structure will be used for storage of output files):
    1. Create a root directory using a name of your choice (in the example, IsogenRoot).
    2. In the root directory, create a project directory using a name of your choice.
    3. In the project directory, create a directory named Inputs.
    4. In the project directory, create a directory named usersCheck.

You will use this directory as the Style Directory in the next step - configuring ISOGEN Setup options.

  3. Configure PCF Setup options in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Fluid Systems > Piping and Tubing 3D Design > PCF section.

    For more information, see PCF.

When finished, the completed configuration should be similar to that shown below, depending upon the directory names you choose and the installation path of the I-Run.exe file.
  4. For the mapping tables in the list which follows, do one of the following:
    • Modify the sample mapping table files.
    • Create new mapping table files.

    Sample mapping tables:

    • Attributes
    • Component Options
    • End Styles
    • Nominal Sizes
    • Symbols

Sample mapping table files are provided in ..\win_b64\startup\EquipmentAndSystems\Piping\DesignRules.

    Note: Piping-ISOSymbolName.xlsx is unused.

  5. Assign the mapping table files modified or created in the previous step to Piping/Tubing Design Resources using the Data Setup app.

The ISOGEN set up procedure is complete and you can now use the ISOGEN command - see Generating PCF Files.
