About Compatibility Check

This page gives you more information about the compatibility check when placing parts.

This page discusses:

Checking the Compatibility

When placing a part using the Specifications, the compatibility with the current selected location is checked.

If the Force usage of Compatibility Rule option is selected, only the compatible parts are displayed.

If the Force usage of Compatibility Rule option is cleared, the compatibility is checked, but you can remove the checks on some parameters using the Part Chooser panel.

Compatibility Rule Table

The compatibility is checked using the Compatibility Rule Table of the current specification, but also with the Automatic Part Rule and the Fabrication End Style table.

If one AutoPart rule exists, two parts for which a rule exists in the table will automatically be compatible.

The Fabrication End Style table is used to retrieve all the possible End Styles for the route. So, if the current End Style is not compatible regarding the compatibility table, but another exists for this route, then the route is considered compatible.
