Deploying a Business Rule on the Server

Deploy a business rule on the server to make it available to all users. You must deploy a business rule when:

  • Associating a business rule with a collaborative space. In this case, save the business rule in the database then deploy.
  • The rule body was modified.
  • Unbinding a business rule from a collaborative space.
Note: Some business rules can be run on the server and others on the client side.

Deploy a Business Rule

Before you begin: Own the resource set you want to deploy.
In the Resource Tables tab, right-click the resource set you need to deploy and select Deploy Server Business Rules.

The business rule is deployed.

Note: Deploying fails when:
  • The business rule is invalid. Verify its syntax.
  • You do not own the resource set you tried to deploy. Log out and then log in with the correct role.
