Editing Build Properties

You can edit a build's details.

  1. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Edit Details .
  2. Edit any of these details as if required:

    Field NameDescription
    DescriptionDetails that describe the build.
    Owner Click to search for and change the owner.
    Model VersionClick to search for and select a different context model version for the build. Before you can clear the existing context model version, you must first clear the existing context product configuration. If you select a new model version with a different context model than the previous model version, a new build unit number is assigned. If you select a new model version with the same context model as the previous model version, the build unit number remains the same.
    Product ConfigurationClick to search for and select a different context product configuration for the build. If a context model version has already been selected, only product configurations associated with that model version are available. If a context model version has not been selected, you can select any product configuration and the model version field is automatically populated with the model version associated with that product configuration.
    Assigned PartClick to search for and select a new assigned part number for the build.
    Build ResponsibilityClick to search for and select the organization responsible for this build. If a context model version is selected, the build responsibility is populated with the product's build responsibility.
    Build Disposition Select a build's disposition, or current status:
    • Production
    • Shipped
    • Service
    • Inventory
    • N/A
    • blank
    Planned Build Date Click to select the date on which the build is planned.
    Actual Build Date Click to select a date that the build was completed.
    Build Shorthand NotationThe shorthand notation used for the build.
    Date ShippedClick to select a date that the build was shipped to the customer or inventory location.
    Build Serial NumberThe build's serial number.
    PlantClick to search for and select the plant responsible for manufacturing the build.
    CustomerClick to search for and select a different customer satisfied by this build.
    Contract NumberThe customer contract number that this build satisfies.

  3. Click Done.
