Creating a Test Case

Test cases are created in the context of other content. Test cases can be created and attached to a feature, requirement, or use case. Users with permission to create a specific type of object can create the test cases for those objects.

Editing a Test Case
  1. From the page Actions menu or page toolbar, click Create .
  2. Enter these details:

    Field NameDescription
    TypeSelect the type of test case object to create.
    TitleEnter a short descriptive title for the test case.
    ContentClick in the text area to add rich content.
    OwnerClick to assign an owner. This field initially shows your name, but you can change it if required.
    NotesEnter any other details that need to be added.
    Estimated Completion DateClick to select the estimated date of completion of this test case.

  3. Click Create to create multiple test cases in the current session. This saves the new test case in the database and redisplays the Create New page. The values previously entered are retained for reuse when creating another test case.
