Routing a Route with an Unconnected Extremity

In a diagram view, you can create a route with unconnected extremity.


Before you begin: In the tree, the following elements are created:
  • A logical reference under the Logical node is created.
  • A routable reference under the Logical node.
  • A component under the Logical node.

In an active diagram view, a component to be connected is placed.

  1. In the tree, right-click the routable and select Route in View.

    Note: You can also select a routable using Insert Existing Logical Component.

  2. Select the component to connect.

    Note: You can place the extremity first by clicking the required location and selecting End Route in Space on the context toolbar.

    A context toolbar appears, containing commands to create an elbow or a straight route line.
  3. Click an empty space to place the second extremity of the route.
  4. On the context toolbar, click End Route in Space.

    Note: You can also double-click. By default, the End Route in Space command is selected.

The route with an unconnected extremity is created.
