Inserting Physics Simulations

You can insert an existing physics simulation into an experience.

Before you begin: Make sure you generate a set of lightweight data from your simulation. For more information, see Simulation: Physics Simulation: Physics Results Explorer: Setup: Experience Content: Generating Experience Content.

Editing Physics Simulation Properties
  1. To insert an existing physics simulation, do one of the following:
    • From the Perception Experience section of the action bar, click Insert Existing Physics Simulation .
    • In the tree available in the Project panel, under Actors, right-click the 3D node, and select Insert Existing Physics Simulation .
  2. In the Search box , enter search criteria to find physics simulations and press Enter.

Note: To find all physics simulations, use the following search criteria: sim:*

  3. In the results list, click the physics simulation of your choice.
The physics simulation is inserted into the experience, along with its analysis cases and results. The corresponding actor is created in the Project panel, under the 3D node.

Note: Alternatively, you can also start a search, right-click the search result, and select Insert in Experience from the context menu.
Important: If the physics simulation does not contain any experience content (lightweight data), nothing is inserted.
