Labels Configuration

Readers can refer to specific components in their complex systems using an identification of these components in the system, not by listing the elements of the hierarchy of subsystems and components. This means, in PLM terms, that they need an association of an identifier to an occurrence instead of referring to the occurrence as a path of instances.

As an Administrator, you can define the values of the occurrence display strings. For more information, see Configuring RAMS and APQP Core Tools in Installation and Setup: 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: 3DEXPERIENCE Platform Administration: 3DSpace: Collaborative Spaces Control Center.

Prefix pattern
The prefix pattern for a reference is: Reference.
The prefix pattern for an instance can be: Instance, Occurrence, Parent, and Reference.
Suffix pattern
Any attribute can be used as suffix.

The impacts in the app for the Readers are the following:

Component Description
Structure Tree, Fallible Reference Editor, propagation tree If an occurrence display is defined, it is used as the label of each node of the Structure Tree, Fallible Reference Editor, etc.
PRA Tables If an occurrence display is defined, it is used instead of the representation of paths in the cells of the table.
Report generation The report also displays the occurrences.
