Identifying Hazardous Event

You can edit a hazardous event which is a failure mode to be analyzed in a line of a PRA table of your system.

Note: The definition of this event depends on the situation in which the system is. This situation is declared using customized attributes.

Before you begin: Select a failure mode in the corresponding cell of a causality relationship. For more information, see Editing or Selecting a Failure Mode.

To edit a hazardous event in a causality relationship, select a hazardous event cell and either:

Select an existing hazardous event among hazardous events that affect the failure mode previously selected in the failure mode cell.
Enter text to create a new hazardous event and associate it with the failure mode.

The hazardous event appears in a tile in the cell.

You can now determine the ASIL of your system.
