Project Widgets in the Compass

Several widgets provide a quick and easy way to select and review project and task information. Project widgets are available from the Compass.

This page discusses:

My Projects Widget

The My Projects widget shows, for each project, the project name, name of the person responsible for the project, project current phase, progress bar of percentage complete, and the number of tasks to be completed.

To see the details about a project, click the project icon. The project dashboard displays. See Project Status Dashboard.

Project Gantt Widget

The Project Gantt widget displays the Gantt chart for a selected project space, project concept, or baseline.

There are different ways you can select a project space:

  • use type-ahead in the search box within the Gantt widget
  • use the Search icon in the search box within the Gantt widget
  • drag it from 3DSearch results and drop it in the widget
  • drag it from another interactive widget (such as the Collaborative Tasks widget)

To select a project baseline or project concept, enter the name in the search field.

To clear the displayed project:

  1. Go to the widget's Preferences and select Clear Selected Project.
  2. Drag another project and drop it on to the widget.

For information about the Gantt chart, see Working the Gantt Chart.

Collaborative Tasks Widget

This widget shows project tasks with details about assignees, state, percentage complete, estimated dates and duration, deliverables, and attachments.

For more information, see the Collaborative Tasks User's Guide.

Project Planning Widget

This widget provides simple and assisted iterative planning, execution, and monitoring for all business users.

For more information, see the Project Planning User's Guide.
