Create the Basic System Structure

In this step, you will create the basic system structure by creating child systems under the root system.

  1. From the Authoring section of the action bar, double-click General System .

    Tip: The command remains active and lets you create several General systems.

  2. Click the root General system node three times.
    Three child systems nodes are created under the root General system node.
  3. Select General System again to deactivate the command.
  4. Right-click the first child system and select Properties.
  5. In the Properties dialog box, enter an appropriate name (for example, General System A) in the Reference and Instance tabs.
  6. In the same way, enter appropriate names for the other child systems.

The system structure comprises a root system and three child systems.
