Create the Item-Product Scope

In this first step, you will define the scope of work for your Manufacturing Assembly structure.

Before you begin: Load a product structure and start Planning Structure. In this scenario, a chainsaw product is used.
  1. Right-click the PPR Context node in the tree and select Insert Item > Manufacturing Assembly.
    A root Manufacturing Assembly node is created.
  2. Right-click the root Manufacturing Assembly node and select Create Item-Product Scope.
  3. Select the root product node in the tree.
