Defining Dimension of 3D Models

You can define the dimension of the reconstructed 3D model.

Before you begin: Reconstruct a 3D model from images.
  1. From the Reconstruction section of the action bar, click Calibrate 3D .
  2. In the 3D model, select a point, and then select an axe.
The axe appears only if the position of the model has been defined beforehand. For more information about defining the position of models, see Repositioning 3D Model.
  3. Select a second point.
    The Calibration parameter appears:
    • If an axe was selected: The projected distance on the axe between the selected points
    • If no axe was selected: The distance between the selected points.

  4. In the Calibration Value dialog box, you can change the distance.
  5. Press Enter.
The new dimension is validated. The 3D model is scaled to fit the new dimension.

Note: The Calibration parameter can be edited in the tree. If the calibration is displayed in the 3D model, it can be edited by double-clicking it.
  6. Optional: Click Display Constraints to display or hide the constraint.
