Creating a Finding Status

You can create a finding status for a specific finding in the Open and Resolution states.

You can create another finding status if all the finding statuses connected to the context finding are closed.


Before you begin: You can now create a finding status using the Create Finding Status option if mentioned below conditions are completed. Also the Create Finding Status option is not available if these conditions are not completed.
  • If the audited organization is selected for the context audit and the user which is used to create a finding status is not added to the same organization.
  • The current revision of the finding status is in the Closed state.
  • The finding is not beyond Verify state.
  • If the context finding is already connected with a finding status, the following conditions need to be completed to create a new finding status:
    • The value for the context finding status is the Open.
    • Either the value of Status attribute for the current Finding Status is SSR or if the value of the Status attribute is Open, then the current finding status must have a reply connected and which is in the Complete state.
  1. View the list of findings status. For more information, see Finding Status.
  2. From the page toolbar, click Create Finding Status .
  3. Enter these details:

    Field Name Description
    Type Select the type of finding status or its subtype. When you select the subtype, the custom attributes that are added to the selected subtype are listed in the Custom Attributes section of the page.

    Description Type the description for the finding status. You can also use the rich-text options to add the description that are present in the box.
    Status Select the status. You can select the status as Open, Settled, or SSR.

  4. Click Done.

A finding status is created and listed in the Finding Status page.
