This section provides some information about the surfaces network mechanism.

Recommendation:
  • Select a network and its mesh.
  • Verify and adjust the surface type.
  • Verify and adjust the location of sharp edges in the network.
  • Select areas to fill.
  • Compute and verify globally the result.
  • Optional: Fine-tune parameters and recompute the current selection.
  • Verify locally the results where required.
  • Adjust parameters and recompute the already computed surface where required.
  • Continue with the remaining areas to fill.

Surfaces Network takes a curves network and a support mesh as input. You can control:

  • The maximum deviation between the surface and the mesh,
  • The continuity (G0 or G1) between neighboring surfaces.

Surfaces Network allows edition afterward and supports a scenario such as:

  • Start generating the surface in Surfaces Network
  • Save the current state and exit.
  • Resume later and continue surface generation.

Wire refers to a patch/cell of the curves network.
