The Raceway designs you create in the Electrical Raceway Design apps can be used in drawings in the Drafting app. A "template" consisting of a set of parameters and options determines the appearance and behavior of Raceway components when extracted in a drawing. These Generative View Style parameters (commonly referred to as GVS) must be defined by an administrator. Administrators can create one or several Generative View Styles; users can then choose which one to use when creating a generative view. The GVS is an xml file which contains parameters about each component. An example of one of these parameters is . This parameter specifies the color that should be used to draw a tray. The parameters are set within the Standard Definition dialog box. If the GVS is not used, then the projection of the Raceway objects in the Drawing behaves as in a Mechanical projection. For an overview of how to create a view using GVS, see Generating a Drawing View. |
