Routing a Tray on a Cableway

You can route a tray on a cableway using the Parallel Routing command.

Before you begin: Open an object containing a cableway. For more information about cableway, see the
  1. From the Fluid Design section of the action bar, click Tray .
The Raceway Tray dialog box appears.
Important: To display the Raceway Tray dialog box, the Set attribute at creation option must be selected. For more information, see Create a New Object in the 3DEXPERIENCE Native Apps guide.
  2. Click Parallel Routing in the context toolbar.
  3. Click the cableway.
A preview of the tray is displayed. You can rotate the raceway segment by 90 degrees using the Robot.
  4. Click Surface Distance in the context toolbar and type a value in the Distance From Surface dialog box to modify the offset distance.
Note: The offset distance can be modified only during the creation of the parallel tray.
  5. Click the next nodes to continue the route.
Tip: To multi select nodes, press Shift and click the targeted node. All intermediate nodes are selected automatically.
Note: The subtype value of the cableway is used as raceway specification. After selecting the second node of the cableway, tray references are filtered according to the raceway specification. the subtype is retrieved as follow:
    • Check for subtype attribute of branch segment:
      • If the subtype of the segment is set, it is used to filter the Tray Reference table.
      • If the subtype of the segment is unset, the subtype is retrieved get on the branch.
    • Check for subtype attribute of branch:
      • If the subtype of the branch is set, it is used to filter the Tray Reference table.
      • If the subtype of the branch is unset, the subtype is retrieved on the multibranchable.
    • Check for the subtype attribute of multibranchable:
      • If the subtype on the multibranchable is set, it is used to filter the tray Definition table.
      • If the subtype of the multibranchable is unset, the specification is <AnyValue>.
