Transfer a Component to an Existing Spool
You can transfer components from a spool to an existing spool using the To Existing Spool command.
- From the Fluid Design section of the action bar, select Spool Mode as process mode.

From the Selection Options dialog box, select Part

In the work area, select the component in the spool you want to transfer.
The context toolbar and the Data dialog box appear.
Spool information about the selected component is given in the Data dialog box under Spool Membership.
- On the context toolbar, click Transfer Spool members .
- Select the component again.Green arrows labelled 1 and 2 are displayed at the extremities of the component (if the component is a tee, a third green arrow 3 is added).
- Select an arrow.
Whichever arrow is selected, all components up to and including that arrow will be selected and will form the list of components to be transferred.
The Transfer Spool dialog box appears and lists the spools available to which you can transfer the components. - In the Transfer Spool dialog box, select a spool.
Important: - The existing spool must have one of its components connected with the component you select in the original spool.
- The existing spool must have the same mode (In Link / In Move) as the originating spool.
If one of these conditions is not satisfied, a warning is displayed and you will not be able to proceed with your selection.
The selected components in the spool are highlighted. - Do one of the following:
- To confirm your choice and initiate the transfer, click OK.
- To cancel the transfer, close the dialog box.
If you click OK, the components are transferred.
