Generating a BVBS Export

You can export rebar layer information in a report to BVBS format.


Before you begin:
  • Create a concrete part containing geometrical sets with rebar layers underneath. Rebar layers must be instanced under geometrical sets. See Rebar Features Creation: Recommendation for more information.

About Rebar Reports
  1. From the Reinforcement section of the action bar, click Export Rebar Report .
  2. In the tree or in the work area, select a Geometrical Set containing either:
    • A concrete part (3D shape) with rebar layers.
    • Or the rebar layer elements directly.
  3. If you selected a concrete part containing n rebar layers, click the three dot button next to the Selection box to display the Element list, and select a single element or all the elements in the Export Rebar dialog box.

    When layers are detected with bar marks, the Options field appears in the Export Rebar report dialog box accompanied by a check box and the bar mark names.

  4. In Options, select the bar marks you need in the report.
    A Bar Mark column will appear in the report indicating the bar mark reference for each layer. For more information about Bar Marks, see About Bar Marks.
  5. To specify the destination folder of the report, click .
    A panel indicates the path of your directory. You can change it by clicking .
  6. To export the rebar information, click the BVBS Export button.
    Concrete Structures 3D Design generates BVBS reports in .abs format.
  7. The report is created and saved at the selected location.
    By default, Concrete Structures 3D Design proposes two .xls files you can customize further. Usually, the BIM manager responsible for the civil engineering project performs the customization tasks. The sample files to customize are in win_b64\resources\Civil\Rebars.
