Creating a Follow-up Surface Rebar Layer along a Curve

In this step you will create an adaptive follow-up surface rebar layer along a curve.

  1. Select a side face of the pier.
  2. Click the Pattern tab, and remove the linear pattern created by default.
  3. Select Curvillinear Pattern in the list.
    The Curvillinear Pattern dialog box appears.
  4. Create a join made of several edges.
    1. Right-click anywhere in the 3D area.
    2. Select Insert Operations > Create Join in the context menu.
    3. Select successively three edges at the base of the pier as elements to join.
    4. Click OK.
    The curve is automatically created from these edges.
  5. In the Input tab, select the relimiting surfaces, and click Apply.
  6. Click the Extremities tab to extend the bars.
  7. Select the Relimitation check box, and enter 200mm as additional length.
  8. Click OK and Apply.

You created an adaptive rebar layer of follow-up surface type along a curve.
