Output Format Tags Correspondence

A file generated in .html contains the following associated tags:

Template Structures Corresponding tags in the generated file
Section X <Hx>
Paragraph <p>

Generation Process

You can interact in the generation process to customize the look of your report file. The %endheader and %begintrailer keywords must be inserted in the .html output formats. The following process describes how Report Template Design generates .html report files:

  • Pastes the output format document header in the report file
  • Replaces the text placed between %endheader and %begintrailer keywords by the generated content
  • Pastes the output format document end in the report file
