Object Parameters Page

You can list the object parameters associated with a requirement, test case, or test execution. These parameters can be dimensioned for an object and are available in CATIA.

This page discusses:

Columns

To access this page for a requirement:

  1. Open the requirement.
  2. In the navigation pane, select Properties.
  3. Select the All Parameters page tab.

To access this page for a test case:

  1. Open the requirement associated with the test case.
  2. In the navigation pane, select Related Objects.
  3. Select the Test Cases page tab.
  4. Select the test case.
  5. In the navigation pane, select Parameters.

To access this page for a test executions:

  1. Open the requirement associated with the test case and test execution.
  2. In the navigation pane, select Related Objects.
  3. Select the Test Cases page tab.
  4. Select the test case.
  5. In the navigation pane, select Test Executions.
  6. Select the test execution.
  7. In the navigation pane, select Parameters.

Column NameDescription
Object NameThe internal object of the parameter.
RevisionThe revision identifier of the object.
TitleThe name of the parameter.
DimensionThe type of parameter. For example: angle, string, or integer.
State
Note: Only shows for Requirement parameters.

The current lifecycle state of the parameter.

PriorityThe priority of the parameter. It is ranked from 0 to 5, 0 being the highest one.
FunctionDetermines if the parameter is assigned a target value or not (empty string). If you do not select anything, the parameter is considered as a specification.
Objective TypeThe type of objective value for the parameter:
  • Target: The parameter value must be as close as possible to the target value to reach.
  • Minimize: The parameter value must be as low as possible in case of iterations.
  • Maximize: The parameter value must be as high as possible in case of iterations.
Required ProbabilityThe probability that the target value will be achieved.
Confidence LevelThe margin of error for the result to be acceptable.
Valuation TypeThe type of value captured for the parameter.
Nominal ValueThe value of the parameter that should be attained.
Last Measured Value
Note: Only shows for Test Cases with Test Executions that have the same parameters.

The measured value of the parameter from the last text execution that was run. Click a hyperlinked numeric value in the column to see a chart of the actual parameter value for all test executions that have been run.

Minimal ValueThe minimal value in the parameter's value range.
Maximal ValueThe maximum value in the parameter's value range.
Multiple ValuesThe values you enter are the values of the parameter (like RGB values, for example).
Role
Note: Only shows for Requirement parameters.

Relationship Type
Note: Only shows for Requirement parameters.
