Replacing the Latest Revision with a New Revision

You can use the Replace By New Revision command to revise an object within the context of a specifications folder or specifications (requirement, chapter, comment), or within the context of a requirement structure (requirement or test case). This creates a new revision of the object that replaces the previous revision of the object in this context. Revising an object in one context does not replace the previous revision with the new revision in any other contexts.

Required responsibilities:

  • Baseline: Leader (when the object is in the Frozen state) or Author

Before you begin: The object that you want to revise must be in one of the in work, frozen, or released states. The object must be the latest revision to replace it with a new revision.
