Selecting a VRC Program

This task describes the process for selecting the VRC program file to be loaded and the program in it to be activated by the VRC module.

Before you begin: Enable an RRS-II connection for the robot.
  1. Select RRS Operations.
  2. Select the robot.
The RRS-II Operations dialog box appears.
  3. Select the VRC Program tab.
    • VRC Host: This is the RRS-II server. Program Files entered in this dialog are assumed to reside on the file system of this machine.
    • Program File: The program file to be loaded by the VRC module. Pay attention to possible file/path naming restrictions enforced by the VRC module when choosing the program file.
    • Program Name: The name of the program in the selected Program File to activate.
  4. Click Load/Activate VRC Program to have the VRC module load and activate the selected program.

The robot's RRS message window will confirm any possible deactivation/unloading of the previously active program and confirm the loading/activation of the new program.

Additional programs can be loaded in the same manner for other robots in the workcell. The next step would be to proceed to Running a Simulation with RRS-II Enabled.

Refer to Creating a Robot Program in the Offline Programming user guide for instructions on how to create VRC Programs using V6 Offline Programming.
