Using VRC Debugging

This task describes the RRS-II VRC Debug function. This allows you to enable the debugging facility of VRC components: VRC Manager and VRC Instance.


Before you begin: Enable an RRS-II connection for the robot.
  1. Select RRS Operations.
  2. Select the robot on which to operate.
    The RRS-II Operations dialog box appears for the selected robot.
  3. Select the VRC Debug tab.

    The following information is displayed:

    • VRC/Debug File Host: Displays the RRS-II Server machine's name. Note that all VRC Debug file(s) specified on this page will be created on this machine (and not the V6 machine).
    • Debug Status: Select On to initiate and Off to stop VRC debugging.
    • Write Mode: Select Append to add on, or Overwrite to replace the contents of the debug file.
    • Debug File: The full name of the file on the RRS-II Server machine that V6 will request the VRC module to log debug information in.
  4. Choose Apply to save the changes and keep the dialog box open, or OK to close the dialog box.
