Creating Object-to-Object Shadows

You can enable shadow-casting between objects.


Before you begin:
  • Object shadows are only supported on Windows and by recent graphic cards.
  • The more projected shadows on objects you use, the lower the rendering performance.

  1. To produce smoother shadows on the objects, select Shadow on Object in Me > Preferences > Shape > Rendering Scene Design > Shadow on Objects.
  2. From the Rendering Scene Design section of the action bar, click Create Spot Light .
  3. In the tree, right-click the light and then select Properties.
    The Properties dialog box appears.
  4. In the Shadows tab, select the On Objects check box.
    The shadow-casting between objects is activated. The Color, Transparency, Map Precision and Quality parameters are available.
    Note: Small is the default for Map Precision and Good for Quality.
  5. Optional: Change the values of the Color, Transparency, Map Precision and Quality parameters.
  6. To save your modifications, click OK.
    In the 3D area, the light casts shadows between the objects.

    Important:
    • When On Objects is activated, the light angle cannot exceed 45°.
    • The more spot lights you use, the lower the performance of the display.
