Creating Context Diagram

You can create a context diagram view from a use case diagram.

Before you begin:

  1. In the tree, right-click the use case diagram and select Create Context Diagram.
  2. In the Context Diagram Creation dialog box, select a parent for the context diagram:
    • Place the context diagram below the selected system: the context diagram is created under the function reference displayed in the Available Systems section.
    • Select a target: the context diagram is created under the selected function.
  3. In the Sheet dialog box, enter a name for the sheet containing the context diagram.
  4. In the Context Diagram dialog box, enter a name for the context diagram.
    The context diagram is created. All actors are placed with the flow and its direction.
