Editing Ports Type

You can manage logical ports.

The Edit Port Type command is available to edit the type associated to a given port.

Important: This command does not edit the definition (substructure/attributes) of the selected type. For more about the selected type edition, see Edit Type Properties below.

  1. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Edit Port Type .

    Note: The command is also available from the context menu.

  2. In the 2D representation of the Logical tree, select the port of a logical component.
    The System Type Association dialog box appears to let you modify the associated system type.
  3. In the System Type Association dialog box, select the convenient option.
  4. In the System Type Instance tab, enter a Type Instance Identifier.

    Tip: This identifier can be automatically generated. For more information, see Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Architecture > Functional & Logical Design > General > Flow and Type Indentifiers. For more information, see Native Apps Preferences Guide: General.

  5. Click Finish.

    The System Type Association dialog box disappears and the port type is updated. See Propagating a Flow or a Type to Connected Interfaces.
